Jena High School, out of Jena, Louisiana, is home to the hometown Giants football team. They have started out even on the season and are looking to break that record up and get over .500 this week. The Giants played a tough Tioga squad and came out on the opposite side of a win. However, they got another tough test this week when they battle LaSalle.

I got to talk with WR Cam Jackson, and he was telling me about the team this year and what the season has been like and what they need to improve on. I asked him what he thought about this years team, what he expects for the rest of the year this is what he told me.

“We haven’t showed how we can really play yet," Jackson said. "We have got to clean up mistakes and we will be an unstoppable team. This past week, we have been busting our butts and I believe we are ready to some wins home with us. #Wartime.”

Cam seems to show the characteristics of a strong leader for this team. He tells how the team can get better instead of himself, and he believes in his team and there is no better way to show leadership than to believe in the brotherhood you call your teammates and get out there and win and fight for each other.
