For Wednesday's episode of The Sports Scouting Report Podcast With Lee Brecheen, Lee visits one of the most underrated Class 4A football programs in Louisiana at Pearl River High School. The Rebels have made the playoffs four years in a row and have done so with not the biggest numbers in Class 4A. Lee talks to Head Coach Mike LaBourdette about the upcoming schedule, expectations for the season, the strong running back tradition at Pearl River, and much more. Lee also talks to some very talented underclassmen players that all have a chance to play at the next level when it is said and done in RB Brian Jenkins III, DE Gabe Whittington, WR/DB Kaileb Rayford, & QB Austin Wadsworth. Brian Jenkins is carrying on the running back tradition left by Nicholls State signee Corey Warren as Jenkins ran for over 1,000 yards last season as a sophomore. QB Austin Wadsworth is a talented quarterback that is returning after starting his sophomore season. Meanwhile, Gabe Whittington and Kaileb Rayford are talented young players that could play multiple positions if needed for the team. Also, Lee talks about some of the latest NFL news including QB Josh Rosen being cut from the San Francisco 49ers and safety Jamal Adams' big deal with the Seattle Seahawks and finally, Lee talks about some big injuries happening in fall camp around the SEC.
